Knue Electrolysis

Want hair removal but are interested in options other than laser? Electrolysis is for you.

What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis is an FDA- approved method of permanent hair removal. Your technician will carefully place a fine needle directly into the opening of your hair follicle and use a minute amount of electric current to destroy the hair’s matrix. The matrix is responsible for the growth and regeneration of hair, and the electric current will eliminate the hair’s individual growth cycle.

How Many Sessions Does Electrolysis Require?

Similar to laser hair removal, you will need to have multiple electrolysis sessions to achieve the best possible results. With each hair being in a growth cycle of about 4-6 weeks, multiple visits ensure your technician can treat all the hairs in each certain area.

It also depends on the type of hair you have - deep, coarser hairs may require more than one treatment to fully eliminate them as the hairs are much tougher. Your technician will have a better idea of how many treatments to expect at your first appointment.

Why Should I Choose Electrolysis Over Laser Hair Removal?

Both hair removal methods are great, but if you have sensitive skin, electrolysis may be a better option for you. Because electrolysis is the insertion of an electric needle directly into the hair follicle, instead of placing a laser on the hair and skin, those with very sensitive skin or specific skin conditions may have better luck with electrolysis. If you’re not sure which option is the best for you, give our spa a call and a member of our staff would be happy to talk you through your options.

Skin Tag Removal

Removal of skin tags is straightforward and fast with electrolysis. The procedure consists of searing the skin tag with an electrolysis micro-needle. It permits the electrolysis technique to destroy the skin tag growth sufficiently. This straightforward procedure usually lasts a few minutes and pain is minimal. The number of treatments needed will vary, looking at the scale and variety of the skin tags to be removed. It's a non-invasive procedure that will not usually leave connective tissue or scarring. The electrolysis course of therapy is convenient in not permitting skin tags to appear. With this treatment, you can expect optimum results.

Skin tags are generally not painful, though they can be annoying and unsightly. Advanced electrolysis is a skin tag removal treatment in which we remove the tiny thread veins on the face. Minor skin issues, such as small skin tags on the neck, armpits, or eyelids, are removed swiftly and easily with this treatment. You can expect minimal bruising, soreness, and redness during the healing process. This is normal. Healing time will vary but we suggest allowing 1 – 2 weeks to heal.
